About: Kimmeridge is the ideal spot for geologists and fossil hunters and it is also dog friendly all year round. At low tide it is possible to walk out along this rock runway but care must be taken on the green slimy bits.

About: The cliffs of Kimmeridge Bay are very striking with their distinctive bands of shales, claystone, dolomite and mudstones. These rock layers give an excellent record of the sequence of events that took place during the Jurassic period

About: Kimmeridge is a well known spot for geological expeditions as well as fossil hunters. Even the layman can appreciate the different rocks patterns seen in the cliffs and ledges.

About: The early evening light at Kimmeridge shows off the rock formations and interesting coastline. This rock pavement was easy walking but a little farther out it became very slippery and fossil hunters had to be careful not to fall into the sea.

About: Kimmeridge is on the Jurassic coast of Dorset and a prime spot for fossil hunting. When it is low tide most people seem to walk around with their eyes to the ground trying to spot an interesting specimen.
