About: The old schoolhouse at Tyneham that has been preserved as it was left all those years ago. The pupils names are still there with their coat pegs and their work still sits on the old desks.

About: Look closely at this photograph and it is possible to see through the open door to the lobby where the children's pegs still wait for their coats. At Tyneham only the church and old schoolhouse have been preserved as it was left in 1943.

About: Nothe Fort has three levels and is built in the shape of a horseshoe that is joined at the base. At ground level around the courtyard there are 26 large casemates or vaulted rooms Under this is a labyrinth of small and large passages and tunnels ......

About: One of the cannons used to defend Nothe Fort which was built at the head of the Nothe Penisula. The construction of the Nothe Fort was begun in 1860 and completed in 1872 at a final cost of £120,000.
