About: The old schoolhouse at Tyneham that has been preserved as it was left all those years ago. The pupils names are still there with their coat pegs and their work still sits on the old desks.

About: Look closely at this photograph and it is possible to see through the open door to the lobby where the children's pegs still wait for their coats. At Tyneham only the church and old schoolhouse have been preserved as it was left in 1943.

About: The two fireplaces in this photograph must have kept this small cottage warm and snug before the villagers were forced to abandon their home in Tyneham in 1943 never to return.
