Title: Flowers by the Road

Place: Symondsbury

About: In 987 according to the Charter of Cerne Abbey that the Symondsbury area had been known as Aeschere. After the Viking invasions, Symondsbury seems to have taken on a new name of Sigismunds Berg as a Viking chief named Sigismund saw a beacon at the top of Colmer's Hill.
