About: Nothe Fort has three levels and is built in the shape of a horseshoe that is joined at the base. At ground level around the courtyard there are 26 large casemates or vaulted rooms Under this is a labyrinth of small and large passages and tunnels and then above are the Ramparts with sites for more guns and observation posts.
