About: Whitchurch Canonicorum' church, St. Candida and St Cross, is unique as it is the only parish church in England to contain the bones of its patron saint. Candida is a latinisation of the word White. Today the saint's relics are in a stone altar and conflicting accounts exist as to her origins.
