About: The sea stacks in the foreground of this photograph certainly catch the eye but look closer and in the background it is just possible to see Bournemouth and look closer still and you can just make out the balloon rising in to the air. Old Harry originally had a wife but he was widowed in 1896 when his wife succumbed to erosion and collapsed into the sea during the same storm that destroyed the chain pier at Brighton.
