About: In perfect character with the village , the bridge at Sutton Poyntz has a charm all of its own. The village was originally known just as Sutton until the Poyntz family added their name when they held the manor and liberty thereof. The last member of the Poyntz family, Nicholas born in around 1320 died without a male descendant.
