About: The war memorial at Fontmell Magna is to remember those who fell in the 1914-18 war, and it was updated by further entries for the 1939-45 war. The memorial was erected on land belonging to Sir Richard Fitzgerald Glyn who fought in South Africa (1899-1902) and in the First World War when he was awarded the DSO and the French Legion of Honour.
