About: The Church of St Nicholas is in the centre of Worth Matravers and dates in the main from the early medieval period around 1100. The 18th century porch has been decorated with re-set Norman zig zag decoration. Inside the porch there is a fine complex doorway dating from 1160 with a very mutilated carving over it.
