About: The confusion about the name of the Head seems to be that at one time both titles have been used and that St Alban is from the Celtic origin and St Alhelm is the Saxon successor. Local mariners tend to use the St Aldhelm version either way the walk out to the headland is very pleasant and not too strenuous.
