About: The exposed and rugged countryside of the West Weare's at Portland is a mixture of natural and man made. Quarrying resulted in vast quantities of stone being thrown over the edge. Flowers' Weare pays tribute to the quarrymen and masons who worked at Porland and Art in the Environment has resulted in walls creating wave like patterns. We fully intend to visit this side of Portland again and walk farther to see more of the dry stone wall sculptures
