Place: Wareham
About: The market town of Wareham is located on a peninsula of land running west to east between two rivers which flow into the upper reaches of Poole Harbour. There is the River Piddle in the north and the River Frome in
the south. Both these rivers were used as prehistoric highways into the very heart of Dorset. A recent archaeological excavation revealed evidence of a settlement during the Bronze Age more than 3,500 years ago
